Drupal
Generationz Studio uses open source software to deliver highly robust and dynamic websites for its clients. We understand that many of our clients want to easily add new content and change the look and feel of their website to cater to their audience. Many of our clients want websites that are easy to maintain and that do not offer many problems.
Keeping this fact in mind, Generationz Studio fully understands the potential of open source software and how open source software can serve the needs of our clients. It is impractical for firms to constantly maintain their clients' websites and the upload content when their clients can easily place content up on their website without any coding knowledge whatsoever. However, some of our competitors are too "afraid" to let go of their power when it comes to your website and do not trust their clients to upload content. We, however, have committed ourselves to use a Content Management System named Drupal to build our robust websites and maintain them.
Before we explain our choice of going with Drupal, we feel that it is necessary to first define what we think a Content Management System is. Content Management Systems (CMS) are softwares that aim to allow end-user to easily create and manage content online. CMS's allow users to:
- contribute to and share stored content
- control access to certain data by creating user roles
- reduce repetitive content
- improve communication between users of the website.
Drupal (Droo-puhl)is one of the most widely acclaimed CMS's the internet has to offer, with numerous awards. Drupal is a PHP-based CMS that rivals many commercial CMS's. It is already one of the most CMS's in the world; numerous reputable sites deploy Drupal, such as Slate (France), the White House, and many more.
Content
Drupal lets our clients upload content easily without having to mess with code. Using Drupal, Generationz can set up certain categories for your data and choose the navigation of each piece of content, so that all you have to is press "Submit."
User-Generated Content
Drupal allows us to easily set up forums, polls, commenting systems, blogs, Youtube feeds, and surveys to make your website more and more interactive.
Ecommerce
Creating the next Amazon could never be easier, as Drupal allows us to easily set up an online store that is user-intuitive for our end-users.
